Your dog throwing up can be very normal on some days that it doesn’t demand your attention much but on the other days it does require a visit to the vet. There are actually two terms that comes to mind when we think of throwing up one is vomiting where the food comes out in partial or liquid form and the other is regurgitation where after eating the food sometimes the dog lowers hi head and the food comes out that food is in solid form and the dog actually starts eating it many times. Regurgitation is often mistook for vomiting.
THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF VOMITING:-
GRANULAR:-
- related to food
- in liquid form
- often seen with blood
- partially digested food
CHUNKY:-
- Related to food
- food pieces can be seen
- it’s mostly the undigested food
- often happens soon after eating food
- mostly because of improper chewing or running fast after eating
LIQUID:-
- Not related to food
- in a foamy or slimy form
- could be in yellow colour or clear
Vomiting can also happen because your dog hasn’t eaten for a very long time and empty stomach ,if this is the cause try to give him curd.
CAUSES:-
- DIET CHANGE
- INDIGESTION
- EATING OF FOREIGN SUBSTANCES LIKE GARBAGE OR LEAVES
- INFECTIONS
- INTESTINAL PARASITES
- ACUTE KIDNEY FAILURE
- CANCER
- LIVER FAILURE
- PARVOVIRUS
- DEHYDRATION
- DEPRESSION
If your dogs vomits once in a day and you find him completely normal after that he is eating properly and Behaving like on regular days there is absolutely nothing to worry about but if you find any change like loss in his appetite or decrease in frequency of his urine you should definitely take him to the vet.
